Andy is Head of Cricket at RCC.
Andy played in RCC's 2nd XI before retiring in 2009 due to work commitments.
Wanting to stay involved at the club Andy took up the challenge set out by chairman Rod Hamer, to move the club forward.
During this time the club have won ten trophies, including two 1st XI trebles in 2010 and 2011.
John Steele1st Team Manager
The youngest 76 year old in the game.
A true gentlemen, John coaches the 1st XI on match days and works tirelessly in the nets on practice nights.
Well respected in Junior Cricket, John was a key figure in forming the Ramsbottom Junior Foundation, developing many players including current 1st XI opening batsman Tom Parton.
Tom PartonCaptain/Right-Handed Opening Batter/Wicket-Keeper
Winning the Ron Singleton Trophy in his first year as Captain , Tom is currently spending his winter playing Grade A cricket for Para Hills in Adelaide.Quality attacking opening batsman and gloveman ,Toms work hard,play hard attitude will stand him in good stead for more success in 2018.
Senuran 'Sen' is a high-end and emerging all-rounder from Durban, South Africa. A classy left-handed Top Order Batsman, Sen is also a clever and very economical left-arm Orthodox spinner. Having been schooled at Clifton College in Durban, Sen has been a prominent feature in the Kwa-Zulu Natal Provincial teams from the age 12 right through to the current Men?s Provincial side. After a breakout summer in 2014-15, whereby he collected back-to-back hundreds against Northerns & Eastern Province respectively, with the first being a marathon 104* (288) in almost 7 hours at the crease, an impressive effort for the then 20 year old. Recently Sen has been impressing for the Hollywood Bet Dolpins resulting in a South Africa A Side call up for a 2 match tour against Australia.
JJ FieldingLeft-Handed Opening Batsman
JJ returned mid season in 2017 having gained valuable league cricket experience at Woodbank CC.He promptly broke into the 1XI opening the batting and has grown in strength and character.An outstanding left handed batsmen with immaculate timing,JJ plays the game with enthusiasm and a constant smile.JJ scored over 500 runs for Lancashire in 2017 including three 100s.
Martin CropperLeft-Handed Batsman
Martin is a flamboyant left handed batsman and has recently been added to the Coaching team at Acre Bottom as well as being a top order batsman in the 1XI.
Martin is as much methodical at the crease as off the pitch delivering amongst other things summer cricket camps for youngsters and junior players and mental health workshops for the opening up cricket program to promote player and club member wellbeing.
After cementing a regular spot at number 6 in the First XI, Brad has become one of the more popular figures within the dressing room. He is known for several things but most notably his big hitting and the Jonny Fielding" chant

Simon HansonAll Rounder
Signed from Accrington for the 2018 season Simon had a distinquished career at thorneyholme road including 3 League Titles and the double in 2008.Left handed batsman will add more steel to the top order at Acre Bottom and his Medium pace bowling brings a variation to the attack.Simons experience will bring a new dimension to the clubs fortunes this season.

Jon FieldingLeft arm orthodox spinner, Right handed batsman
Jon continues to defy the odds with his forever young attitude and enthusiasm. An experienced left arm spinner and arguably Ramsbottoms most successful captain,Jon has a wealth of knowledge having played for Lancashire,Minor Counties and as a professional in local league cricket takng over 700 wickets in the Lancashire League.
As the newest member of the squad, Jake is quickly becoming a well liked player around the club. He is known for his wicket taking however he is probably better known for his impressions and story telling
Dale GabrielRight arm off spin bowler, left handed batsman
Dale is a very useful wicket taking bowler who has made significant contributions during our successful T20 campaigns.
Dale is also a very useful lower order batsman who is not afraid to show his wide array of shot making capabilities once at the crease. Rumour is that he has applied for a patent for the reverse sweep!

Simon ReadOpening Bowler
experienced middle order right hand bat who with a little more confidence could easily move up the order.
Right arm medium pace seam bowler who is also able to swing the ball away from the right handed batsman. Has a great pair of hands.
