Freedom Day Update
Whilst 19th July is the much heralded “Freedom Day”, the committee in all honesty don’t believe that now is the time, with infection rates matching the height if the 2nd wave, to get rid of the restrictions in the bar.
Until deemed appropriate, we will continue to ask members and guests to wear masks when not seated in the bar. We will also keep a table service only policy on match days and evenings. Please can everyone continue to use the app to order drinks or ask the waiting on staff. When doing our last risk assessment, paramount in there was looking after the health of the bar staff. If bar service was to be re-introduced we would heighten the risk of endangering their health, something we are not prepared to entertain.
We will update you all if and when changes are to be made but the committee feels that in acting this way we are acting in the interest of club members and taking a responsible approach to managing the risks that are sadly still out there.
