Pathway Development Programme 2022
RCC are delighted to announce the first intake for the Pathway Development Programme for 2022.
The programme consists of 16 boys and girls that have been highlighted by their respective coaches to undertake additional training under the guidance of Lead Coach – Phil Heaton.
The programme will have a summer and winter programme and will be overseen by Andy Dalby.
AD commented:
“As a club we feel that investing in our Academy is certainly the way to go. We thought long and hard about the structure of the PDP and there’s no doubt this is a fantastic opportunity for the players involved to really develop as cricketers and hopefully represent RCC for years to come.”
RCC Chairman John Fox commented:
“The launch of the PDP is a real sign of intent from the club as we plan ahead and use our resources for long term rather than short term gain.
We have always had a strong junior section and will continue to invest across the Academy but creating a programme to ensure that we get more juniors into senior cricket is essential as we plan ahead for sustained success in league cricket for our women and men’s sections.
This is the pilot year, we know we won’t get everything right but, as this is a long-term commitment, we are confident that the investment will pay off and the club will continue to go from strength to strength.”
