Sam Hangs Up his Boots
After a long career at Ramsbottom CC Sam Price has decided its time to hang up his cricket boots to spend more time with his family. Sam joined us as a junior and has been a regular in the senior teams since his debut in 2004. He has been a mainstay of our 2nd team as well as playing over 30 games in the first team, making his 1st team debut in 2006.
He was part of the 2nd team that did the “double double” in the 2006 and 2007 seasons, winning both the League and Telegraph Cup. He is a stylish left hand bat who followed in his father’s footsteps at Rammy. Caroline, his mum, has been one of the 2s ultras over the years, rarely missing one of his games. We will miss him turning out for us at weekends but hope to see him along with Chloe and Albert at Acre Bottom this summer.
