Mikey is an established Second XI Cricketer who has scored many runs at this level, unfortunately due injury he will be out for the majority of the second half of the season, however if this had not been the case he surely would have been knocking on the First XI door
Matt BurdakyBowler/Right-Handed Batsman
Better known as Birdy, Matt is an economical, wicket taking bowler. He bowls wicket to wicket and has the ability to move the ball off the seam both ways. Having had a successful season for the Second XI in 2016, he will be looking to break into the First XI this season, and like most bowlers fancies himself as an opening batter too. Birdy is a very popular character around the club and is well known for his antics both on the cricket field and on the dancefloor
Alex is most arguably one of the best Second XI opening batters in the league and has been knocking on the First XI door for a while now. He is known for his beaming smile and lively personality which has made him a well known character around the club

Jack took the role on of 3XL captain in 2017 at a young age and has provided a great platform for the side to progress into 2018. Another product of the Ramsbottom Junior foundation Ben joined Walshaw in 2017 and opened the batting for the 2XI progressing to the 1XI.Returns to the club for the 2018 season.Ben is a talented opening batsman & wicketkeeper who is a strong character on and off the field,with the right attitude & committment Ben will be pushing hard to move through the senior grades.
Rewrites textbooks with his Steve Smith style of batting,Ben was the 3XL top run scorer in 2017 with his own aggresive,devastating approach.All round good guy at the club on the field,off the field,behind the bar and as the all stars mascot.. never a dull moment in Bens company.
A quiet,unassuming character Nick had a successful 2017 season opening the batting for the 3XL.Nick will be looking to kick on in 2018 and is just as happy at the crease as he is on the terraces following his beloved Bury FC around the country.
