Team News – 4 May 2023
The 3rd team had a successful Bank Holiday weekend winning both of their games. On Saturday they won away at Rishton against their 4th team. Isaac Turner picked up 3 for 10 and Ryan Storey 4 for 8. Ali Abbas scored 23 to see us home to a 7 wicket win. Full scorecard here On Monday we won by 74 runs against Todmorden. Jack Hinchliffe made 35 and helped by a quickfire 20 from Tom Ireland we made 141 for 8. Following an opening burst from James Holt (4 for 9 from 8 overs) we restricted Todmorden to 67 for 7. The cup competitions start this weekend for the 1st and 2nd teams. On Saturday the 1st team are away at Colne in the Worsley Cup. The 2nd team host Colne at Acre Bottom in the Junior Cup.
Busy day on Sunday with the Women’s 1st team away at Leyland. The newly formed Women’s 2nd team are away at Penwortham for their first game of the season. The 1st and 2nd teams both play Rochdale on Sunday in league fixtures. The 1st team are at home with the 2nd team at Redbook.
All the games are scheduled to start at 1 pm.
